Our Story

Be Known was established in 2019 out of the recognition that more folks need a safe space to feel comfortable exploring who they are and to feel more fully known. The desire to feel known is so ingrained in who we are as humans, and we are passionate about not only helping people to feel known by others, but to also know themselves better too. Loving and appreciating ourselves does not come naturally as a culture. We want to foster a space in which we learn to embrace all of who we are.

Be Known was birthed from the deep desires expressed by many clients. Many individuals expressed not knowing much about their bodies or sexual selves. Many couples expressed the desire to feel seen, heard, and known by their partner. Even more expressed little connection to their inner self and the emotions warring within. Our goal became to help others feel known.

All of our sessions are conducted via telehealth to people living in Ohio, Kentucky, and Florida.

I founded Be Known because I saw need for more sex positive and inclusive therapy. I witness people struggle to talk about sex, to understand themselves, and to overcome shame, pain, and embarrassment around sex. It is clear that educating others about their bodies decreases shame and opens up conversations around self-love, consent, and healthy boundaries.

My passion is for helping clients to explore their sexuality and find the right place for them. To explore their past traumas, to be able to live a peaceful life, and to feel better about themselves. My work involves helping clients explore their feelings and become emotionally stronger.

I have a deep passion for helping individuals and partners embrace, embody, and express the ways of being which will enhance their intimacy and elevate their relationships. As a therapist, I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their sexual and relational concerns, helping my clients develop a healthier, more satisfying relationship with themselves and others in the process.
